Multiply Justice

Who is going to tell them to ‘do justice’?

LifeWay Research found 90% of churchgoers “desire to please and honor Jesus in all I do,” but 40% say they read the Bible ”once a month” or “a few times a month” (22%) or ”rarely/never” (18%). Only 19% claimed to read the Bible every day.

If so few of us are in the Word in any significant way, what are the odds 80% of our church members even know God is going to test them “with the measuring line of justice and the plumb line of righteousness”? If they aren’t going to read it for themselves, who is going to tell them God requires his people to “do justice”? Which pastor or Bible teacher is going to tell them that their entry into heaven is related to whether they helped “the least of these”?

Who will let them know?
