CNN: Fighting sex trafficking in hotels, one room at a time
Here’s a great example of God using us where we are to multiply justice for the oppressed.
CNN reports: Kimberly Ritter is a meeting planner in St. Louis. She and her co-workers work with 500 hotels around the world. Ms. Ritter realized that when she sees ads from “escort services,” she can identify many hotel chains by the room decor. Sometimes, she even can identify a specific property. She began using that knowledge to fight international sex trafficking by encouraging management of the mainstream middle-end and high-end hotels in her network to fight trafficking at their properties.
CNN’s Freedom Project highlights the horrors of modern-day slavery, amplifying the voices of the victims, highlighting success stories and helping expose the web of criminal enterprises trading in human life.
